You can access TangoAustralia information and browse certain areas without having to register. Registering is optional and offers you the opportunity to contribute to the forum and to join the online Tango Community.

The rules are simple and based on good manners and commonsense.


When you join you can choose to use a pen-name or your own name. You can edit and update your profile, including changing your password at anytime, it is under your control.

When you register on the site a Moderator will verify your registration with an email.

We respect your privacy and we expect you to do likewise. You are not permitted to release personal information on any other person unless you have their consent.

Be careful to post in the appropriate forum. If the Moderator deems that your post should be in another topic it will be moved.

When you upload an image remember it has to be no more than 52KBs.

Threads that are considered inappropriate, offensive, slanderous or irrelevant will be not be approved and will be deleted. No correspondence will be entered into, the Moderator's decision will be final.

Any member who repeatedly breaks the rules will be suspended from the forums, the blog and any other facilities offered to members.

We ask you to respect copyright laws. To be safe we ask you not to post

  • private emails or messages
  • messages from other discussion boards or chat sites
  • articles from any source that you do not hold the copyright for (a short paragraph that constitutes no more than 25% of the material, is permissable)
  • photographs or illustrations for which you do not hold the copyright.

If you wish to use the forum to post media stories you will need to obtain the permission of the Administrator.

Tango schools and teachers are reminded that the Forum is available to post news about milongas, special workshops and events. School details and class timetables are to be included in the Directory of Tango Schools and will not be accepted on the Forum.

Advertising and selling on TangoAustralia

As we provide space for advertising we cannot permit advertising on the forum or the blogs.

You may not promote businesses. In exceptional circumstances the Administrator may allow one posting. You may promote charities. Please be aware that such promotions however will be at the discretion of the Moderator.

 

Competition Terms and Conditions

 

  • Name of organisation conducting the competition  will be Tango Australia and the individuals/ organisations/company (ies)listed in copy.
  • Eligibility: Any person registered on the TangoAustralia site, apart from the Administrators will be eligible to enter the competitions unless otherwise stated.
  • To enter you may be asked to register on the website
  • Closing and draw dates  will be listed in the competition copy.
  • Prizes and prize value  will vary and be listed in the competition copy.
  • Winners will be decided  on creativity and originality of reply. Chance plays no part in determining winners. The judges decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
  • By entering the competition you accept the conditions of entry.
  • Competition results will be published in the TangoAustralia Forum within one week of the competition being drawn.
  • Prize winners will be notified  by email or phone
